Reviews for 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life

Having a baby has been one of the most rewarding gifts I’ve ever received, however, it has drastically changed my life. I’ve often found myself in a slump, not being able to complete even the most menial tasks for need to focus all of my attention on my son. 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life has come at the perfect moment. I need to remind myself that “falling is not failing”. I can regain my disciplined, well organized life with focus and determination.

After reading this book, I feel like it will really help me accomplish things in my life. Crystal is fantastic at telling you to break things down and not be superwoman. I’m going to go through this book again and follow the steps to finish my own mega project (cleaning my wardrobe and bedroom of excess clutter) and starting little better habits (like keeping an empty dishwasher).

I appreciate this book because it is a step by step process. It is easy to understand and apply in order to see results! I love that it gave me momentum right from the start which helped to propel me to make more positive changes in my everyday life.

Crystal Paine takes the daunting task of regaining one’s self discipline and lays it out in manageable daily steps. Her method of making small changes over time, focusing on small achievements and practical tips aid in creating a more disciplined life.

This book starts you off quickly with homework so you can not put off making changes for when you are done reading.  It also offers straightforward, to the heart advice that will help you change habits for a lifetime, not just a week.  “I am the problem, but I am also the solution.”

Thanks for the opportunity to read this amazing book!  I love the simplicity of the concept but am amazed at how hard it is to know just where to start.  I have combined Crystal’s ideas with my love of Evernote and have a new way to track success and accomplishments.

I got to page nine and DID SOMETHING!  I had a return to do – yes, a tiny project.  The box was on the floor, the packing slip printed.  So, what was the delay?  I am overwhelmed with so much to do that it is hard to know where or how to start.  “21 Days to a More Disciplined Life” is my new desk manual.  After reading it I have broken down several of my mega projects into manageable projects.  I save step by step tasks in Evernote and check them off one day at a time.  It really is a fabulous concept and one that I will revisit often.

Through the reading of Crystal’s book I am able to look at procrastination objectively and admit that I can de-stress and simplify my life by getting things done early.  If I look closely at all the tasks I need to complete on a daily basis, breaking them down into smaller pieces there are few reasons/obstacles for me to getting tasks done in a timely manner.

I loved, loved, loved Crystal Paine’s new book, 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life.  Although I am a pretty disciplined person by nature, this book hit me right between the eyes – in a good way.  Her encouraging way of writing, the topics she chose, and the practical application section found in each day make this book a perfect read for everyone.

21 Days To A More Disciplined Life is one mighty package made up of powerful encouragement, hard questions, and seriously practical information. I believe anyone who follows the steps laid out in this book will find that they can, in fact, develop the habit of self discipline and have a more rewarding life.

This ebook clearly showed me that I can change, one step at a time. I’m excited to see what my life looks like 21 days from now as I use Crystal’s guidance to tackle nagging projects and implement new habits in my home.

Crystal has taken the concept of self-discipline and put it in such a simplistic format that even those of us with serious self-discipline issues can understand and relate without having to over think her words. She also dispels many of the reasons we lack self-discipline, mainly our own excuses, which aggravated me as I would think of an excuse while reading, only for her to soon remind the reader again of the irresponsibility that shows when excuses are given. I was quite convicted of my lacking in this area, yet came away encouraged to give the 21 day plan a try because she didn’t condemn but instead gave hope! I will be embarking on my 21 days soon, and look forward to reading and applying her advice many times over the next few months as I strive to greatly improve this area of my life. Thank you, Crystal!

I had the chance to preview Crystal’s ebook 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life.  This ebook is very timely at this stage of my life!  Crystal gives many tips on how to be more successful at self discipline: Start small, break larger projects into manageable chunks, focus on one habit at a time, put your goals on paper, find an accountability partner, amongst many more.  She also recommends that you write down and be prepared for obstacles that could bring your goals to a complete halt.  This way you are able to plan accordingly to stay on track.

Crystal’s ebook excited me to restart habits and goals I was swallowed up by.  I’d like to read and study my Bible every morning, as well as get my home cleaned and organized.  Crystal’s advice breaks these goals into smaller chunks so I have a better shot at becoming successful.  She is a great encourager if you do happen to fall off the wagon, and she also gives you successful tools to get you right back on that wagon.  She has gleaned information from other organizing pros and includes those titles so you can read directly from the source.

Every Mom and wife will be encouraged to accomplish self discipline after reading this ebook.  While I have read other books about self discipline, I haven’t been successful.  With the enclosed tips, I will surely be successful!  Crystal’s easy to read writing style and small chapters make this an easy read, especially for those with busy schedules.

As a stay at home mother of two young children and a husband that works 90+ hrs a week. I sometimes feel like I am living a more day to day life and losing sight of my long term goals. This book has taught me that any goal is achievable through easy day to day steps. I will use the simple steps learned in this book to start achieving my short and long term goals. This book is a great, easy, informative read that I recommend to anybody ready to make a positive life change.

I am a self-discipline wreck. As in I have NONE. Did I think this book would cure me after the first read? No , I was realistic. Crystal’s book contains really good solid info and quite a few points to think on. I am especially touched by her analysis of how we use the word try. I even used this part to discuss with my 11 year old Asperger’s daughter who I have been trying to get to use her words as commitments.  Will 21 days solve all my problems? NO. And Crystal doesn’t expect it to. You are meant to tackle this book over and over again. I found it encouraging how she shares her struggles with us…but doesn’t condescend at all. All in all, a touching and solid guide that will do many of us a lot of good, but no magic pill. It’s up to us to do the work. Imagine that!

21 Days To A More Disciplined Life is a good read for those who are looking for ways to become more regimented and productive, along with learning to stress less.  Being a plan-it-out (and slight O.C.D.) person myself, things that stood out to me in particular were things like planning a mega task that spanned the 21 days, along with going for the little victories that keep you striving for the big ones.  I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to tighten up with their life, take control of it and live with less stress!

As someone who is in need of a more disciplined mindset, I read this ebook with the hopes of finding at least a couple of tips I could incorporate into my own life.  Since I am already a fan of Money Saving Mom, I knew there would be at least a few eye-opening moments in the book that I could incorporate into my busy schedule.  Just by completing the assignments for Days 1 and 2, I know I am on a path to a more disciplined ME!

Rhonda C.

I loved the book 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life! Breaking it down to simple steps each day helped me to avoid getting overwhelmed. Crystal seemed to know exactly what aspect I’m going to struggle with next and how to overcome it. I would definitely recommend this to my friend and family!!

Libby N.

This book is an outstanding way to attack being a more disciplined and productive mom.  I love how Crystal insists that biting off more than you can chew will not be successful.  I always want to “fix” everything right now, and Crystal’s way of working on one big project and one or two smaller habits over 21 days is so much more realistic.  Such a positive and uplifting look at accomplishing a more disciplined life.

Cassie W.

This book is refreshingly honest! When reading her boook I feel like we are sitting around the kitchen table having a conversation. Yeah it is not just me with the piles of laundry! I have changed my morning routine and it has completely reshaped my day.  I am going to keep it up for the whole 21 days and hope that it will be my new norm in life. I have learned from this book that even though some of the things on my list are completely overwhelming but I do not have to finish it in one sitting, if I break it down into little parts it becomes more manageable and gets done just the same.  Thanks for all of the helpful hints and for letting me know that we all have our struggles but all we have to do is break them down to a more manageable size!

Heather A.

The encouragement, practical steps, and resources in 21 Days To A More Discipline Life are like having a personal coach. She helps guide you through daily changes to increase self-discipline, all while also tackling one “mega” project in bite sized pieces. When it comes to discipline, “I may be the problem, but I’m also the solution!”

Tammy S.

Crystal’s book has a lot of encouragement for learning to live a more disciplined life. It made me realize that self-discipline is more mind of matter. Breaking your goals into bite sized pieces is a lot easier to understand than attacking the goal all at once and burning out quickly.

21 Days to A More Disciplined Life is the most practical, challenging, and encouraging book I have read in months. With step-by-step ways to become more disciplined, I have been motivated to write out and accomplish my personal goals . It is easy for me to feel overwhelmed with everything on my to-do list {let alone my “to-be” list and list of dreams for my life} but by taking bite-sized pieces out of my goals every day, I am able to create long-lasting and effective change towards becoming a more disciplined person. Crystal shares her own experiences, but encourages the reader to find what works best for them and provides daily tasks and helpful worksheets to make discipline even more attainable! I highly recommend not only buying this book, but reading it day by day!

Crystal Paine’s 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life is an inspirational and very motivating book.  I love how she teaches others to break goals into smaller tasks in order to make them more manageable and achievable.  This book is a must read for anyone that needs motivation and assistance in becoming more disciplined in anything in their lives.

I just finished reading Crystal Paine’s new book 21 Days To A More Disciplined Life, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.  Since I am plagued by a chronic lack of self-discipline, I have a house full of unfinished projects and good intentions, and I had my doubts as to what impact a book would have on me. Crystal was very smart in how she structured her information – when you’re targeting people who lack discipline, you don’t give them 1000 pages on a one-size-fits-all approach.  This will be put down to be finished “later” and eventually turned into a coaster.  Instead, each section (one for each of 21 days) is short, sweet, and to the point, with links to TONS of valuable information that you can follow if and when you choose to.

In her chapters Crystal gives useful tips on developing good habits and works with the reader on completing one large task over the course of 21 days.  From her tone you can tell how much she believes in what she’s writing, and that she has definitely walked this walk.  She is not asking you to do anything she hasn’t tried herself, and she makes everything sound so incredibly manageable that I actually GOT UP and did some of the tasks myself.  And now I’m going to go do some more.

Another home run by Crystal!  I recently closed my in home business, and has been struggling with the lack of structure in my life.  I was always going to start reorganization and managing my time better tomorrow, but tomorrow was always filled with something that would knock my plan off track.  After reading this book, I realize that I was biting off way more than I could chew.  Slow and steady will win this race!

I am a fan of the FLY Lady and have read about frog eating, so this ebook appealed to me. While I have not had the opportunity to impliment it yet (I just finished it), I like that it is broke down by day. Before bed I can see what my assignment is for the next day, much as I check my calendar nightly. I am hoping this will improve my productivity, giving me more family time.

Monica K.

Thanks for the kickstart on getting my life back on track at home and at work.  Breaking things up in steps may keep me from feeling so overwhelmed!  Plan to impement this on my weightloss journey as well!! Thanks Crystal.

Crystal’s latest ebook, 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life, has the potential to be life changing!  Crystal offers encouragement and practical steps to change habits and develop self discipline.  I am on day three and have already accomplished more than I usually do in a week.

Crystal’s book, 21 Days To A More Disciplined Life, was just what I needed to read as I get organized for a new school year and upcoming holidays. This book is written in an easy to read format with each chapter giving practical advice, tips, and clear strategies to break down your goals and get started. Each chapter made it seem much more manageable to create new habits and goals that I wanted to change for the upcoming months, as well as to start a 21 days mega project that I had been procrastinating for way too long. This book is an excellent read for anyone wanting to focus their time, energy and efforts and to become more disciplined.

This book was a godsend. I had a list of “incompletes” in my life and the practical applications helped me remember that I don’t have to do everything at once or go “cold turkey”.  I especially needed to be reminded that I should not live by comparison. I felt unaccomplished as a stay at home mom in comparison to working mothers but my life is my own and I must work to master my own domain.  I have been my own problem and now I will be my solution.

Yvette S.

I enjoyed Crystal’s book immensely. I have been struggling with self discipline and she makes it easy to change that. I look forward to rereading it and taking it step by step like she suggest.

Jennifer C.

I love how this book was so exactly me someone who constantly tried to become more disciplined by completely changing my issues at once only to fall back to my old ways.  By reading this book I was able to realize that to change the big issues I had to start tweaking the minor ones to allow myself time to commit and adapt to the changes!

This eBook couldn’t have come at a better time. I have been struggling with getting disciplined about eating better and exercising. Reading 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life has given me that kick in the butt to get off it and make it happen. Best part, I don’t need to do everything at once. Like Crystal suggests, I’m going to take it one day at a time and “focus on one habit at a time”.

This eBook is a must read for anyone who’s been feeling down in the dumps, lacks enthusiasm and finds their productivity spiraling downwards. Crystal’s encouraging words, her Practical Application at the end of every chapter and her own personal experiences shared throughout are perfect to help you create your own disciplined life.”

Inspiring! The way this book lays out the steps one by one, day by day makes it the most helpful guide I’ve read since”what to expect when you’re expecting”! I plan on applying these techniques starting Monday, and am bringing my kids along for the ride!

This book is going to be so wonderfully helpful to me and my life right now… I am a full time mother to three daughters ages: 5,4 and 3. A full time homemaker and wife… A part time Hairstylist… And a “wanna be writer”.

We have a lot of people in a tiny house, and I am often overwhelmed with chores backing up, and piles hiding for another day..  Breaking up my major and minor projects like this will hopefully let me be more efficant, and have a lot more free time..

Sarah Alex J.

This book can be life changing if you let it. The format is easy to read with great steps to conquering self control.  I have already seen a difference in my attitude toward projects, big and small.  I finished another book that I had been reading and putting down for months after reading the first chapter of YOUR book.  The problem has always been me, not my procrastination or unorganized way of thinking…me.  Your book helped me own it.  Thanks!

Kathie M.

I seem to think that I am a very busy person…where in reality I am a Lazy busy mom and put things off because of being over whelmed by all of it.

Then at the end of the day I am thinking did I do anything today?

Crystal has taken the overwhelming and turned it into pieces that when looked at in small sections it is not so scary! How to look inward to find and figure out your drive.

I was a Lazy Busy Mom and I will definitely recommend this book!
