279. An embarrassing story, emergency preparedness, my 43rd birthday and goals for my next year

Powered by RedCircle

In this week’s episode, we have fun recounting the wisdom I’ve gained from embracing my wrinkles, my goals for my 43rd year, and an embarrassing story involving me driving and a literal run-in with our garage door.

We also talk about some follow-up to our recent podcast on our freezer story and talk about how it pales in comparison to the challenges faced by those affected by Hurricane Helene. I share insights from my sister’s traumatic experience during the flooding and aftermath of Helene and how it highlighted for me the importance of emergency preparedness and community support in times of crisis. We discuss the value of having emergency supplies, such as non-perishable food, water, and cash on hand.

I hope this episode not only makes you think, but also hopefully causes you to smile and laugh a little (something we need more of in the world right now, I think!), and to reflect upon how much we can learn from things like wrinkles and driving mishaps.
